Dr. Nadia Ayala-Lopez is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Laboratory Medicine in the Yale School of Medicine. She earned a PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Michigan State University, where as a National Institute of Health Pre-Doctoral Fellow, she studied the role of adipose tissue in blood vessel function. She is certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology and served as a medical laboratory scientist at the University of Washington. Dr. Ayala-Lopez’s current research at Yale University is on RNA modifications in acute megakaryoblastic leukemia. Besides research, she is active in the postdoctoral community and serves as Chair for the Yale Postdoctoral Association.
