Shannon Larsuel



Shannon Larsuel is majoring in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and pursuing a joint Masters of Public Health. As a member of the Krause Lab, Shannon studied the role of MKL1 in fetal megakaryopoiesis. Shannon first gained interest and experience in stem cell research while participating in Stanford University’s SIMR program in high school. She is passionate about healthcare disparities and aspires to become a physician. On campus, Shannon spends her time involved with her sorority, Alpha Phi, works for the Yale College Dean’s Office as a Communication and Consent Educator, and volunteers for Haven Free Clinic and Yale New Haven Hospital’s Elder Horizon Program.
